I use foraging as therapy I love the outdoors and have a fascination with hunter gather lifestyle and the more complex use of wild edibles I don’t profess to be any sort of professional or expert I just enjoy being part of the bigger picture

When I’m out foraging I’m not concentrating on the black dog in the room

  1. I decided a good way to begin a comment is not ..”so I’ve been following you for some time now.”

I’m absolutely enchanted by your foraging techniques. Keep on!

    My questions for you:
    1. Might you be self taught or is there literature out there you would suggest?

    2. I live on FL’s east coast and don’t myself see an array of mush’s. (But we do have plenty to forage for greenwise) My question is: Where is this goldmine of mushrooms you encounter?! 😉

    3. I thank you for reading my stuff-things. Wishing you a day of boundless exploration!

    • Thank you so much for your comments it’s always great to know people are reading ,
I’m based in the Uk , Somerset and we are lucky to have a vast range of wild edibles both fungi and flora .
As regards to knowledge base I read many books and research papers but in all honesty other than finding out if something is edible I take little knowledge from them as we all have different tastes and preferences I always promote experimentation with flavours simply getting stuck in and enjoy your journey , foraginguk is a new forum based on sharing knowledge open to anyone who enjoys the subject .
my own preference is to ask many questions no matter how silly they seem it takes along time to amount a good understanding and it is a never ending subject that always rewards ,
I wish you a safe and fun experience and will always answer any questions .
Again thank you for taking the time to comment it inspires me to continue writing
